Responsibilities
- Lead Okta-related initiatives as the enterprise subject matter expert.
- Design, automate, deploy, and administer Okta enterprise identity environments.
- Write and maintain scalable Terraform modules for Okta applications, groups, policies, authorization rules, and administrative roles.
- Manage Okta Workforce Identity Cloud configurations including SSO, MFA, Adaptive Authentication, Universal Directory, and Workflows.
- Automate user onboarding, offboarding, and role-based provisioning across cloud infrastructure and enterprise software.
- Implement least-privilege access and Zero Trust policies and support SOX, SOC 2, and ISO 27001 compliance reporting.
- Integrate Okta Terraform workflows into GitHub and Jenkins continuous deployment pipelines.
- Support Google Workspace, Slack, GitHub, Atlassian Jira, and Confluence integrations.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for identity integrations and incident escalations.
- Support the adoption and integration of emerging AI platforms for corporate application infrastructure.
Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on experience designing and managing Okta enterprise environments and IAM.
- 3+ years of production experience using Terraform to manage identity providers, including the Okta Terraform provider, custom modules, state management, and continuous deployment pipelines.
- Ability to commute to either the Columbia, Maryland office or Boston, Massachusetts office three days per week under a hybrid schedule.
- Deep understanding of SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SCIM, and LDAP.
- Experience with Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting and automation.
- Experience interacting directly with Okta REST APIs.
- Preferred experience with Okta Workflows, Okta Identity Governance, or Privileged Access Management integrations.
- Preferred experience operating in AWS, GCP, and Azure multi-cloud environments.
- Proven experience with enterprise application onboarding automation and directory consolidation.
