IT Applications Support Specialist . This organization helps power homes with clean energy solutions and relies on a robust technology ecosystem to support its rapidly growing workforce and operations.
As an IT Applications Support Specialist, you will serve as a key member of the Technology Application Support team, providing high-quality technical assistance to internal employees. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem-solving, delivering exceptional customer service, and supporting business-critical applications in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. As the organization prepares for peak business demand, this position plays an essential role in ensuring employees have the tools and support they need to be successful.
Job Description Key Responsibilities - Provide first-level technical support to internal users via phone, email, chat, and ticketing systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to business applications, productivity tools, and technology systems.
- Escalate complex issues to subject matter experts or team leads while maintaining ownership and communication throughout the ticket lifecycle.
- Assist with the configuration, setup, and ongoing maintenance of technology applications.
- Accurately document support activities, resolutions, and procedures to support knowledge sharing and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for system enhancements, improved performance, and a better user experience.
- Participate in an on-call support rotation and provide after-hours support as needed.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies, application updates, and industry best practices.
- Deliver a positive, professional, and customer-focused support experience for internal stakeholders.
- Manage multiple support requests while effectively prioritizing tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications Required - At least 1 year of experience in an application support role.
- Experience troubleshooting Windows and macOS operating systems.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace and other productivity applications.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to independently resolve technical issues.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Strong customer service orientation and commitment to delivering a high-quality support experience.
- Ability to prioritize competing demands and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Preferred - Experience working in a corporate or enterprise technology support environment.
- Familiarity with ticketing and incident management platforms such as ServiceNow, Jira, or similar tools.
- Knowledge of IT service management principles and the ITIL framework.
- Salesforce Administration experience.
- Google Workspace administration experience.
- Relevant certifications such as:
- Salesforce Administrator
- Google Workspace Administrator
- ITIL 4 Foundation
- Experience supporting cloud-based business applications and enterprise software platforms.
