# Job Opportunity – Emergency Medicine Physician – Florida

**Schedule:** Coverage at Level II Trauma Center Emergency Department (61,000 annual patient visits at main ED; 16,000 annual pediatric ED visits). Includes coverage at affiliated free-standing emergency room.

Highlights:

• Level II Trauma Center with 42-bed Emergency Department including 5 fast track beds, 5 monitored beds, and 3 trauma bays (including 1 pediatric)
• 70 hours total physician coverage between main ED and pediatric ED; supported by 60 hours of APP coverage
• 26% admission rate with no floor code or consult responsibilities
• Advanced capabilities including Comprehensive Stroke facility with bi-plane, interventional cardiac cath, and therapeutic hypothermia (Code ICE facility)
• Dedicated resources including ED glide scopes and ultrasound machines
• EMR system: Meditech, Pdoc, and Dragon dictation
• 24-hour in-house Hospitalist and Intensivist support

Requirements:

• Board certification by American Board of Emergency Medicine (ABEM) required
• Current Florida medical license or ability to obtain
• Experience in emergency medicine practice
• Willingness to provide coverage at affiliated free-standing emergency room location
