Cath Lab Special Procedures Tech
Duties:
Assist with Cardiac Cath and Interventional Procedures (PTCA, PCI, Rotablator, CSI, Penumbra, etc.)
Assist with Balloon Pump / Impella insertion, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Assist with Intravascular Ultrasound (IVUs)
Assist with Fractional flow reserve (FFR) / Instantaneous wave-free ratio (iFR)
Assist with Vascular Procedures (IVC filters, peripheral runoffs, acute and chronic occlusions, PTA/stenting, Radiofrequency Ablations, AAA repair, TCAR, Carotid Angiography, Renal Angiograms, Graftograms/Fistulograms, EKOS)
Assist with Vascular Access
Assist with maintaining/pulling arterial and/or venous sheaths (manual compression, hemostasis devices, etc.)
Skills:

Assist with Vascular Access
Assist with maintaining/pulling arterial and/or venous sheaths (manual compression, hemostasis devices, etc.)
Assist with the insertion of a temporary pacemaker
Education:
Graduation from an accredited Radiologic Technology program required. Associates degree in Radiology Technology required.
ARRT Certification required.
KY State Certification required.
BLS required.
Nuclear Medicine Certification preferred.
ODC preferred.
Additional Certifications Required or Preferred:
EKG training required / Annual EKG competency review required
ACLS required next available class within six months
BLS training required
PALS within 24 months hire/transfer
Shift: 7A-7P, 48hrs/ week, 13 weeks
