Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced ABB Robotic Engineer to support robotic automation, programming, troubleshooting, and optimization in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Program, configure, troubleshoot, and optimize ABB industrial robots using RobotStudio.
Support robotic welding, assembly, material handling, and engine/powertrain manufacturing applications.
Integrate robots with PLCs, vision systems, sensors, conveyors, and tooling.
Troubleshoot production downtime and implement permanent corrective actions.
Optimize robot programs, configurations, cabling, harnesses, and end-of-arm tooling.
Support commissioning, validation, startup, and continuous improvement activities.
Collaborate with PLC/Controls, Manufacturing, Quality, Maintenance, and Engineering teams.
Required Skills:
5 15 years of robotics/automation and manufacturing experience.
Strong ABB Robot programming and RobotStudio experience.
Hands-on robotic troubleshooting and manufacturing automation experience.
Experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or similar PLCs.
Automotive/heavy equipment, engine/powertrain, or high-volume manufacturing experience preferred.
Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and shop-floor troubleshooting skills.
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Mechatronics, Robotics, or related engineering field.
Preferred:
Agricultural equipment, industrial machinery, metal fabrication, vision-guided robotics, industrial networking, Lean/Six Sigma, or automated manufacturing experience.
